Checking Out

Once you have received your subscription package via e-mail you will need to perform an initial checkout as described in Performing Your Initial Check-Out.

Subsequent checkouts of any updated files is performed by performing one of the following operations:

1. choosing "Action:Checkout Default Module"
2. choosing an "Action:Checkout Out Other Module..."
3. selecting a directory in the session window and choosing "Action:Check Out"
4. selecting directories or files in the session window and choosing "Action:Update"

There is a difference between "Check Out" and "Update": Update will only download revisions to existing files. Checking Out will update existing files but it will also create and populate new directories. You will normally use operation I in order to retrieve the very latest version of everything.

Branches

A branch or specific tag can be checked out. This is done by selecting the files or directories for which you want the branch retrieved and then choosing "Action:Update To..." while specifying the name of the branch or tag desired.
